Touch of the other world by Akshay Paatil
My Dear Stranger,
Iām writing to you because you matter to me, and I have a lot of things to talk to you about. I want to tell you about where Iāve been and what Iāve been through, what are my dreams and what are my flaws. I want to tell you how a lot of people hurt me, and how I hurt a lot of people too.
I want to listen to you too, I wonder what you got to tell me, what stories are you keen to share with me. Iām wondering if youāre looking for me too.
Iām uncovering my mask, so you could recognize me when you see me. There is a possibility that we passed by and nodded at each other yesterday, week ago, or maybe somewhere in the last couple years. Thereās also a possibility that we are both surfing the parallelism waves, and it may never rest ashore.
I donāt know who youāre, Iām eager and curious to meet you, to give you a definition in my life. Iām eager to discuss life with you, or walk down the street drunk at night with you.
I donāt know who youāre. You might be my friend, you might be my wife, you might be my unborn child, you might be my cellmate, you might be my colleague, you might be my flight attendant, you might be a book, you might be a distant star, you might be the very one who created me at the first place. I donāt know, you know?
What matter the most is that we have a lot in common. Iām just like you, I feel eternal, that Iām invincible, that death will never recognize me. We both believe that one day we will rise, one day we will save the day. We both dream of a miracle that can change our ways of living, even though thereās nothing wrong with it, its only our greed, it will never let us rest.
Iām getting old, but I feel like life hasnāt started yet, that the greatest things in life are yet to come, that life will start the very tomorrow. Unconsciously wasting time preparing for the days that we will never see, because we will be still preparing while life flies over our roofs.
I wonder, do you like Thai food? I dig the coconut milk rice.
If youāre my friend, I will be loyal to you. If youāre my wife, I will marry you in every known religion and tradition. If youāre my unborn child, I will be your best friend. If youāre my cellmate, Iād be honored to spend the rest of my life with you. whomever youāre, I will part of you, and you will be part of me.
